· "MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR" LP stereo

Capitol Records released Magical Mystery Tour as full-length album because EPs were not as popular in the US as they were in the UK. The American version was released in late November 1967, its cover depicts the EP's artwork in an orange border with a list of song titles above it. The Magical Mystery Tour LP was divided into two halves: The first side was the film soundtrack, and the second side was a collection of A- and B-sides released in 1967. When standardising The Beatles' releases for Compact Disc in the late 1980s, the American LP version (which was imported into the UK, peaked on the British album charts at #31 as an American import, and was issued by Parlophone Records in Britain in 1976) was included with the British album line-up instead of the British EP, with true stereo recordings replacing the earlier processed ones. (The true-stereo version of the Magical Mystery Tour LP was first issued in Germany in 1971, but the 1976 Parlophone issue used the Capitol masters with the fake stereo.) Capitol quietly reissued the Magical Mystery Tour LP using the German masters in the US with catalogue number C1-48061 in true stereo. This is the true stereo German master.

· "MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR" LP mono

"Magical Mystery Tour" is the name of an original 6-song double EP by The Beatles, first released in late 1967. It is the soundtrack to a one-hour television film that was originally aired, in black and white, in the UK in 1967. Initially released as a double EP in the UK, the recording was expanded to a full album on subsequent U.S. release, adding several recent singles to the B-side. This has since been adopted by Apple and EMI when the Beatles' discography was being put on Compact Disc, and is the only US release of theirs to do so. While the songs on the EP proved popular, critical and popular response to the television film proved negative. Plans to air it on ABC television in the U.S. were cancelled, and "Magical Mystery Tour" was first shown in the United States only in a special showing as a fundraiser for the Liberation News Service in 1968. There was no other showing in the U.S. until 1974, as a theatrical release on the midnight movies and college circuits, both of which were mainly underground. The movie's soundtrack was far more favourably received. It was released in the UK in December 1967 as a double EP housed in a 24-page book featuring pictures from the film and a comic strip based on events of the film, and was nominated for a Grammy Award for best album in 1968 reaching number 1 in the U.S for eight weeks.

·"Out of Our Heads” (UK version) – The Rolling Stones

Here is the third the Stones’ UK LP, released on 24 September, 1965. It was initially issued in July 1965 in America, and it was a mish-mash of studio recordings over a six month period. With the benefit of new songs being recorded that September plus a different album cover, the British version of Out of Our Heads dropped the live track (I’m Alright) and recent hit singles (singles were rarely featured on albums in the UK in those times), and added exclusive songs that would surface later in 1965 in the US on December's Children (And Everybody's) in addition to songs that hadn't been released in the UK thus far. Issued later that September, Out of Our Heads reached #2 in the UK charts behind The Beatles' Help!. It would also be The Rolling Stones' last UK album to predominantly feature R&B covers, with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards becoming far more prolific writers before 1965 was out. Again singles and the recorded-live EP Got Live if You Want It are included.

·"The Rolling Stones Nº 2” (UK LP) – The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones No. 2 is the second UK album by The Rolling Stones released in January 15, 1965, following the massive success of 1964's debut The Rolling Stones. Not surprisingly, The Rolling Stones No. 2 followed its predecessor's tendency to largely feature R&B covers. However, it does contain three compositions from the still-developing Jagger/Richards (Richard by then) songwriting team. Using the cover shot for 12 X 5, the second US released album in October 1964, The Rolling Stones No. 2's tracklisting would largely be emulated on the upcoming US release of The Rolling Stones, Now!. While Eric Easton was co-credited as producer alongside Andrew Loog Oldham on The Rolling Stones' debut album, Oldham takes full production duties for The Rolling Stones No. 2, which was recorded sporadically in the UK and US during 1964. A huge hit in the United Kingdom upon release, The Rolling Stones No. 2 spent 10 weeks at #1 in early 1965, becoming one of the year's biggest sellers in the United Kingdom. Again is accompanied by contemporary singles plus the wonderful EP Five by Five.

·"The Rolling Stones" (UK LP) - The Rolling Stones

This is the first Stones’ LP as it was released in the UK back on April 17, 1964. As you can see, the cover of the original UK edition has no title or identifying information other than the photo and the Decca logo - an "unheard of" design concept back then originated by manager Andrew Oldham. Upon its release, The Rolling Stones became one of 1964's biggest sellers in the UK, staying at #1 for 12 weeks, while its USA version (England's Newest Hitmakers, released by the London label) reached #11 in the US charts, going gold in the process. In August 2002, England's Newest Hitmakers was reissued as a new remastered CD and SACD digipak by ABKCO, while this original version, its British counterpart, has remained out of print since 1987. Added are contemporary singles plus their first EP as bonus tracks. Enjoy it!
