· "THE BEATLES' FIRST" + "IN THE BEGINNING"

The Beatles' First  was released in 1964 by German Polydor (catalogue numbers LPHM46432/SPLHM237632) and was available in the UK as an import. On 4 August 1967, Polydor officially released the album in the UK, but with a different sleeve and catalogue number 236-201.
In the US, the album was released under the title In the Beginning (Circa 1960)  in 1970 (Polydor 24-4504.) In New Zealand, the album was released three times: firstly in 1966 (cat. no. 237632, as above), secondly in the early 70's titled The Beatles in Hamburg (cat. no. NZ SP 125), the track "Take Out Some Insurance on Me, Baby" was retitled "If You Love Me, Baby", and in 1977 as a double LP (cat. no. 118).
All subsequent releases of the Tony Sheridan/Beatles/Beat Brothers recordings are repackages of the same tracks. This title is available in an expanded double CD set subtitled Deluxe Edition, with bonus tracks which was issued by Universal Music on 12 June 2004. The main tracks are in stereo on the first CD and in mono on the second CD. This release also contained a new sleeve. The similar album The Early Tapes of The Beatles  (1984) was re-released on CD at a similar time to this deluxe edition release.

·"MONO MASTERS" Mono - The Beatles

What's this exactly? It's a collection of all of the songs released by The Beatles in the 1960s that were never included on one of their albums. This includes huge hit songs like "Hey Jude" and the fast version of "Revolution" which were released as singles but not on any of their 13 official studio albums. Up until about 1968, mono was the standard. This means that the stereo mixes done up until this time were mostly an afterthought. It was actually the mono versions of these songs that The Beatles and George Martin spent the most time trying to get perfect and it's because of this that to a lot of Beatles purists the mono versions are the "real" versions of this stuff (up through The White Album, which was the last one mixed in mono.)

· "THE BEATLES (White Album)" mono

The Beatles (aka The White Album) was released in the UK on November 22, 1968 as Apple PMC 7067-8 (mono) and PCS 7067-8 (stereo). Its original working title was A Doll's House, which is the name of Henrik Ibsen's masterpiece play written in the 19th century. In addition, according to the book The Beatles' Album by Geoffrey Giuliano, an illustration was prepared for the cover of A Doll's House by the famed artist Patrick but the plain white cover was opted for instead. Recording sessions for the White Album started with the song "Revolution" on May 30, 1968, and concluded with take three of "Julia" on October 13, 1968. Mixing for the album was completed five days later on October 18, 1968. There are many differences between the stereo and mono versions of The White Album. This album marked the first on the then newly formed Apple label, which had made its first appearance as a 45 three months earlier on August 30, 1968 with the "Hey Jude/Revolution" single, both of which were recorded during the White Album sessions. Also recorded during those sessions were "What's the New Mary Jane?" and "Not Guilty". These two tracks were only available on bootlegs for many years, but were finally released legitimately for the first time 28 years after they were recorded on Anthology 3 in 1996. The Guiness Book of Records lists The Beatles as having sold "nearly two million" copies in its first week of release in the US. Over the years some critics have said that the White Album is too self-indulgent, some have said that it's too long and could have easily been a still better disc.

· "BEATLE'S CELEBRATION" (Unreleased Argentinian compilation)

Record originally planned for release in 1968, but never released (this version comes from a bootleg). Three years later this LP ended, with its song-list slightly modified, as "Por Siempre Beatles".

· "MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR" LP mono

"Magical Mystery Tour" is the name of an original 6-song double EP by The Beatles, first released in late 1967. It is the soundtrack to a one-hour television film that was originally aired, in black and white, in the UK in 1967. Initially released as a double EP in the UK, the recording was expanded to a full album on subsequent U.S. release, adding several recent singles to the B-side. This has since been adopted by Apple and EMI when the Beatles' discography was being put on Compact Disc, and is the only US release of theirs to do so. While the songs on the EP proved popular, critical and popular response to the television film proved negative. Plans to air it on ABC television in the U.S. were cancelled, and "Magical Mystery Tour" was first shown in the United States only in a special showing as a fundraiser for the Liberation News Service in 1968. There was no other showing in the U.S. until 1974, as a theatrical release on the midnight movies and college circuits, both of which were mainly underground. The movie's soundtrack was far more favourably received. It was released in the UK in December 1967 as a double EP housed in a 24-page book featuring pictures from the film and a comic strip based on events of the film, and was nominated for a Grammy Award for best album in 1968 reaching number 1 in the U.S for eight weeks.

· "SGT. PEPPER'S L.H.C.B." LP mono

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was released on 1 June 1967 in the United Kingdom. "Sgt. Pepper" is often described as The Beatles' magnum opus, and recognized as one of the most influential albums of all time by prominent critics and publications. It was ranked the greatest album of all time by Rolling Stone in 2003.

"You've never really heard Sgt Pepper until you've heard it in mono." - Sir George Martin, Beatles' record producer and arranger.

Please, read the following information regarding the sonic differences found between a MONO vs. STEREO copies of Sgt. Pepper:
· The funky backwards guitar part at the end of the opening song just before "Billy Shears."
· The flangey/ADT effect on Ringo's voice during some chorus of "With A Little Help From My Friends."
· The tripped out flangey vocals from the second verse out on "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds."
· The slightly longer end of "Fixing A Hole" where McCartney is wailing up high.
· The change in tone in "She's leaving home" in the mono version - due to being sped up, not so dreary and long as in the stereo version.
· The timing on the effects of "Mr. Kite."
· The extended louder laughter on "Within You Without You."
· The louder backing "oo-oo's" on "When I'm 64".
· The "bleed edit" found at the beginning of the "Sgt. Pepper Reprise"; you can hear the machine flutter as it comes out of pause.
· The low volume mumbo jumbo during the extended bass drum raps at the beginning of the "Sgt. Pepper Reprise".
· The timing of the audiences are different on the "Reprise" section.
· Paul McCartney ad libbing at the end. Paul sound like he is saying "Thank you very much good night now..." or "bye bye now".

Now, judge yourselves...

Recording first published:
Mono, 14 October 1966

· "REVOLVER" - The Beatles USA 1966

The original US LP release of Revolver, the band's tenth on Capitol Records and twelfth US album, marked the last time Capitol would release an altered UK Beatles album for the US market. As three of its tracks—"I'm Only Sleeping", "And Your Bird Can Sing" and "Doctor Robert"—had been used for the earlier Yesterday... And Today Capitol compilation, they were simply removed in the US version, yielding an 11 track album instead of the UK version's 14 and shortening the time to 28:20. The album's 30 April 1987 release on CD in USA standardised the track listing to the original UK version. Having been available only as an import in the US in the past, the 14 track UK version of the album was also issued domestically in the US on LP and cassette on 21 July 1987. The CD was remastered in 2009. The US version has never been available on that format.

· "REVOLVER" LP mono

Revolver is the seventh album by The Beatles, released on 5 August 1966. Many of the tracks on Revolver are marked by an electric guitar-rock sound, in contrast with their previous, folk rock inspired Rubber Soul. It reached #1 on the UK chart for seven weeks and #1 on the U.S. chart for six weeks. It was released before the Beatles' last tour in August 1966, but they did not perform songs from the album live. Their reasoning for this was that many of the tracks on the album, for example "Tomorrow Never Knows", were too complex to perform with live instruments. Revolver is often regarded as The Beatles' greatest studio album, perhaps matched only by Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967). In many respects, Revolver is one of the very first psychodelic LPs, not only in its numerous shifts in mood and production texture, but in its innovative manipulation of amplification and electronics to produce new sounds on guitars and other instruments. Revolver is often cited as one of the greatest albums in rock music history. In 1997, it was named the 3rd greatest album of all time in a 'Music of the Millennium' poll conducted in the United Kingdom by HMV Group, Channel 4, The Guardian and Classic FM. In 2006, Q magazine readers placed it at number 4, while in 2000 the same magazine placed it at number 1 in its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever. In 2001 the TV network VH1 named it the number 1 greatest album of all time, a position it also achieved in the Virgin All Time Top 1,000 Albums. A PopMatters review described the album as "the individual members of the greatest band in the history of pop music peaking at the exact same time", while Ink Blot magazine claims it "stands at the summit of western pop music." In 2002, the readers of Rolling Stone ranked the album the greatest of all time. In 2003, the album was ranked number 3 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. It was ranked 10th on Guitar World's (Readers Choice) Greatest 100 Guitar Albums of All Time. And in 2006, the album was chosen by Time magazine as one of the 100 best albums of all time.
